About This Trail
The Santaquin Bench Spur is a steep canyon leading to a great lookout point on the SW side of Dry Mountain. The views of Santaquin and the Utah Valley are great. The lower bench area is just following a dirt and gravel road. It's a heavily-used recreation area and you will probably compete with some of the other vehicles. The canyon trail is steep and rocky in some places. There was no water or shade other than canyon shadows. The lookout spot for great views is close to the mine lease area, but there is a gate that is always open.
