San Pablo Ridge Trail via Clark Boas Trail

If you attempt to make a loop by turning left onto Old Nimitz Way, you will be forced to turn around and go back to where you started. The public route shown on the map is currently accessible. The trail starts at the Clark Road Trailhead. If you plan on hiking or mountain biking on the weekends, you should arrive early. The first half mile requires dogs to be on a leash. Dogs can be off-leash on the trail once you enter the canyon. The loop offers gorgeous views of the bay, including Mount Tam in Marin. The trail gets hot during the summer so bring plenty of water. There are hawks, coyotes, and foxes on the trail. It is important to keep an eye out for cows as they are often roaming in the fields.
