About This Trail

Imported description
The road to the trailhead is partially washed out. The sand pits should be avoided. The sign is good and the location is easy to find. It is challenging with a pack. The fire lookout station is at the top. You are in the shade for most of the hike. It's important to get a permit at the NP ranger station. The north rim zone is one of the few areas that allows camping and it is only 3-4 miles from the summit.
