About This Trail
The parking area at the trail head is called the Hinkle Branch. This trail intersects with Chestnut Flats/Griffith Branch and Low Gap. The trail is beautiful. An amazing tree is just beyond the crossing. The upper portion of the trail from the Griffith Branch is very pleasant. There is some forest cutting on the lower portion of the trail. The trail is open but it is not as beautiful as it could be.
