Chestnut Flats Trail

Start at the access to the Griffith Branch Trail. The first part of the trail is not exciting because there has been some logging. The trail goes through beautiful forests and stops at logging road stops. When the leaves are down, one stretch of a ridge promises to offer a wide view of the valley. The trail goes from the forest service road to the other trails in the area. This is a nice scenic hike through a beautiful forest which can be used alone or in conjunction with other trails for longer hiking.
