About This Trail

The trail begins with a mild incline. Arch Rock is one of the trail's prominent landmarks. The arch's geological features were formed when wind and water eroded the softer rock. The trail passes under the natural arch, which is a great place to take photos. You will arrive at Inspiration Point at the 2 mile mark. You will get to see Little Duck Hawk Ridge and The Eye of the Needle from here. LeConte was quoted. The only formal lodging in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park is the LeConte Lodge, which is at the peak of Mount LeConte. You can use the restroom at the summit. This is a popular trail and you will be hiking with other hikers.
