About This Trail

This is a great hike with lots of scenery. The trail goes up the hill and is an out-and-back type trail. It's a gradual climb that only gets steep the last mile or so. The first 1.5 miles are abandoned logging routes. The trail becomes a typical Smokey Mountain hiking trail for one person. The last mile is very rocky. It is important to take caution on the way back down. You will want to cross over the shallow pool at the bottom to get to the rock ledge on the other side to take some good pictures of theCascades.
