About This Trail

The Royal Oaks County Park is located in the rolling oak hills of north Monterey County. The site also has a playground, a softball field, and basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts. There is a parking fee. When there is rain, the trails are more rewarding than the rest of the year. They are graded over soft dirt and have an easy elevation gain. You can wander through the meadow on the Pine Meadow Trail. It's a great place for a picnic. There is a lot of wildlife. Dogs are allowed on a leash. There are trails that are marked, but there are discrepancies with the map. It's great for families, beginners and kids. Keep an eye out for ticks as my dog picks them up.
