About This Trail

Imported description

One of Lake County's largest forest preserves is the Rollins Savanna. There is a lot of oaks, prairies and wetlands in this area that are ideal for grassland birds and other wildlife. A 5.5 mile trail encircles the site. This trail is open for a variety of activities. The preserve also has a native seed nursery, a drinking fountain and a bridge. Snowmobiles can go parallel to a small section of the trail.
