The one- way distance is about 5.7 miles with elevation gain. Pyramid Peak is the top peak in the California's Desolation Wilderness Area. From a distance, it looks like a giant granite pyramid. Pyramid Peak is a landmark in the region and can be seen from a wide range of locations, including the coast, and even from a hundred miles away.
