About This Trail
A short hike through the woods leads to a detour to see the Bay and Alcatraz. The United States Army created this trail in 1980 to allow San Francisco residents to walk through the woods. There are some areas on the trail that are open and some that are more wooded and there are a few places to go for a picnic.
