About This Trail

The Pioneer Cabin Trail is a popular day hike that leads to a cool cabin. The trail to the Pioneer Cabin is one of the most popular hikes. The cabin was modeled after Alpine huts in Europe. The Sun Valley Company built it in order to make skiing in the Pioneer Mountains more accessible for the Alpine Touring branch of the Ski School. The peaks were named after colleagues who were killed in the 10th Mountain Division during World War II.
