Scotchman Peak Trail

Take Highway 200 to Clark Fork, Idaho and then take the north route to Main Street. Go past Clark Fork High School and then around a bend to the right. The intersection with Lightning Creek Road is where you should set your trip odometer to 0. Keep going straight on Mosquito Creek Road, it was said. Keep left at the fork. Go for 2.1 miles and then turn right. There won't be a sign that says "fr 2295." It is marked as such on the map. When you pass the sign that says you are entering a bear habitat, you will know you are in the right neighborhood. At 3.1 miles, you should turn left onto FR 2294. There won't be a sign that says "FR 2294." You will see a sign pointing towards Trail 65. Go left at mile 3.6 on the road. You can follow it for 2.2 miles to the end of the road, where you will find the trail head.
