About This Trail
You won't want to miss the scenic short coastal trail if you only have a few stops along the highway. The Pacific Valley Bluff Trail is a simple path that crosses a large grass field and leads to some beautiful cliffs above the ocean. The opening on the first fence is designed to let humans in, but keep cattle out. Continue west until you get to another opening. A short path will lead to a cliff top overlook with a great view to the north. Go back to the main trail and then follow the path along the cliffs. You will eventually reach a small dune where the path disappears into the sand. This is a good spot to turn around because it can be overgrown with poison oak.
