About This Trail

A fourteener crosses Clear Creek using a well constructed bridge. The sign-in is just over the creek. The cemetery for the town of Vicksburg is further down the trail. This makes for a short stop. The trail heads up a steep slope using some nicely cut switchbacks. You will find an intersection labeled with a sign after you break treeline. The sign will lead you to your left. The ridge of Belford will be your path to the summit. This hike goes through a lot of hills. They are better than the trail that just went up. The summit of the ridge is orange colored and can be seen from the false summit.
