About This Trail
It is the remains of a railway that went up the mountain. About 2000 feet of elevation is gained by the trail. A mile long set of stairs, rough and unrestored. It will take you a little while to get on Barr Trail. It is a good idea to be cautious of a false summit just past the bail out. You can go back down the incline or run back down the trail. It is worth it to see the view from the top over Colorado Springs. This trail is popular with people because it is for training.
