Part of Miller Gulch and Gashouse Gulch is partially shaded. There are a lot of big boulders near the trail that make for a nice spot to rest. The hike is more of a long hike than a strenuous hike. There is a parking lot a half mile from the trailhead. The trail is open to mountain bikers.
