About This Trail

Imported description
The trail starts by crossing a stream on a well-made bridge. The trail then heads west, and parallels the steam for a time. During periods of high water, this area may be impassible. Continue along the trail as it meanders through aspens, cottonwood, and firs; this is an excellent area to see fall colors. Within the first mile of trail, you will pass one of the few examples of red rock in Northern Utah. There are several small stream crossings along the way; some may be bypassed, while others require a short walk through water that is typically ankle-depth or greater. Care should be taken during periods of storms and high water, as the trail crossings may become dangerous. After 0.9 miles, the trail reaches the junction with the Mud Springs trail #173. This trail accesses the Tibble Fork trail # 041, and the Ridge trail #157. After another 0.9 miles, the trail junctions with the Holman Ridge-Cabin Flat trail #172, which accesses the Holman trail #039. As you continue along Mill Canyon, the trail grades start to ease and the scenery changes dramatically. Large stands of fir trees dominate the upper portion of this area. The trail continues switch-backing for another 1.5 miles to Mill Springs and the junction with the Ridge trail # 157.
