The forest hike is easy up to 10k feet. The trail takes you to the right of the restrooms. A few hundred yards will turn to dirt on the trail. The hand-rail should always be left of the rail. The trail will change direction at 0.25 miles. You should go up the stairs to the top. The fork is in the trail, look at it at the top. The correct way to get to Crest Trail is to take the right fork. The trail will change back and forth through the forest the rest of the hike. The trail will continue at a junction of two forest roads. Go straight on the road to the cabin area. At 0.75 miles, you can reach the kiskiran cabin.
