There are many recreation areas and trails to the south of I-40. Refer to the map to plan your course. The recreationist is responsible to know which trails are designated for motorized vehicle and to follow the guidelines. This is an area filled with multiple uses. For hiking, Mountain biking, horseback riding, and OHV use there are trails that are open. The area that's been referred to is Lower Pine Trailhead Chamisoso Trailhead, Tunnel Canyon RSVP Otero Canyon RSVP Pine Flat Trailhead, Oak Flat Trailhead, and Pine Flat Group Picnic Area.
