About This Trail

Imported description
There are many, many trails that hookup in this area and can make this hike much longer if you want to. But the shortest and fastest way to get to the Oasis is to park at the south end of Palm Hills Drive (aka Broadmoor Drive), behind the shopping center, located off of 111 just a bit southeast of S. Gene Autry Trail Road. Most of the trail looks like a dirt road used by service vehicles. Not very interesting but good exercise, with predominantly intermediate grades that occasionally are steeper but not that long. At about 1.4 miles there’s a large (about 12-foot) heart made of piled stones. This is the highest elevation of the hike. About 75 yards west of the heart is narrow spur heading due south (left) that will take you to a canyon and Jane’s Hoffbrau Oasis. It definitely makes the whole trip worthwhile. Cool shade and water if you’re hiking in the right season. I did it March 1, 2020 and it was beautiful with some, but not much, water. The hike was under 90 minutes round trip not including time taken to stop and enjoy this wonderful gem.
