About This Trail

Imported description

It is a backpack that follows the Tonto Trail for three to five days. It is possible to get a glimpse of the river from points between the major side canyons it traverses. The popularity of this trip is attributed to easy access and dramatic views. The road is closed from March 1 to November 30. The free shuttle bus will bring you to the resting area every 15 and 30 minutes from 5 am to dusk. The bus stop is where you can board the shuttle bus.
