I took a backpack to the trail that is on the website at Visit California. It looks like I've misinterpreted the description below, but I tried to add this and it isn't as Accurate as it could be. The trail leading to Pioneer Mail Picnic Area was the site of the historic stagecoach route. It was said that your destination is one of the best spots in the Lagunas for good views of the Anza-Burrego Desert. The road was once a half-milelong stretch that was chiseled into the cliff. You should chose a spot where it is possible to stay late to watch the star show.
