Flanagan and Chamise Peak Trail

This is a good place to look for a realistic panoramic view of the people and places of the area known as Shasta. It is at the top of the mountains that you have views of the upper Sacramento Valley, the Sacramento River canyon and the western mountains. The Upper Sacramento Ditch Trail is reached by the Flanagan Trail, which goes from the parking lot to the ridge. It starts up the trail up to the peak at the pass and takes you up the mountain. The views from above are wonderful.
