About This Trail
The bridge to the Fiery Gizzard Trail is out. The trail is located in the South Cumberland State Park. The Firey Gizzard trail starts out rocky and descends into the canyon. It is very rocky and wet here. It follows the river for a mile or so, then passes many beautiful waterfalls. The Dog Hole trail leads to the rim of the canyon. It can be slippery from the trail to this point. It was said to use caution. The Dog Hole trail is a moderate trail that goes through a forest setting and offers a view of the canyon. The Dog Hole Trail goes by Firey Gizzard again after 2.5 miles. There is a spur trail that goes out to Raven's Point. If you go all that way, you should take it in the point.
