About

This listing is specifically for the giant outdoor Kitchen + Yurtle… What’s a Yurtle? It's a round tent atop a trampoline frame , with a hard shell satellite dish for a roof. Great sound acoustics, brain-wave focus for meditation, and super cozy. Queen sized mattress inside. Bring your sleeping bags and pillows and climb in. Have a large party? That's great, it's only $10 per person over two guests per night, to stay at this 3-Acre site. Bring as many tents as you need. You have access to a full kitchen, warm shower, and composting toilet. Bring your pets! Just $10/pet/night. Lots of private on-site hiking and adventure opportunities In addition to 8 State parks within 30 minutes. The Firey Gizzard Trail is 10 minutes away. Boating and fishing at Grundy Lakes State Park is just 2.5 miles away. Foster Falls, the Stone Door at Savage Gulf and much more. Bucket list experience of a lifetime. Checkout our reviews [HERE]() We came to this magical place to found a self-reliant, intentional eco-community when I retired from corporate life in 2006. It's called the Village on Sewanee Creek, named after the creek 800 feet below the bluff where we are located. There are now a dozen homesteads here and a small thriving community. Access to waterfalls abound!! I traveled the world as a senior executive for Baskin-Robbins, Dunkin' Donuts, Papa Johns, Blockbuster, 7-Eleven and other retail franchises, making the world safe for Pizza, Ice Cream, Pancakes Video Rentals and American convenience. And I was ready for something more fufilling. I scouted for a place of exquisite natural beauty and I found it here. I bought way too much land just before the real estate bust and learned how to turn a nice fortune into a very small one. I faced challenges and had lots of fun. Now I want to share our experience. It's the Village 2.0 for guests. Who knows, you may decide to stay. Or not. Life in the city is OK as long as you can get away frequently. I'm convinced if you love nature and the outdoors, this is the best place to celebrate it.
