About This Trail

Imported description

The entrance to Mystery Canyon is difficult to find, but will be obvious when you find it. It is near a tree that is bent. The tree is 30 feet to the left of the canyon. The trail is only about 3 feet wide. You will only see about 30 feet at the beginning. It will turn into a scramble down a drainage where you will use tree roots to keep upright. You will be tempted to go to Mystery Canyon too soon because of the many social trails. If you take one of the social trails, you should be able to see the bent tree that protrudes from the canyon rim. It will be to your left as you look at the canyon. Do not descend into the debris field and hope for the best. Watercourses have the largest and densest trees.
