About This Trail
You can take the descent north of Lake Tahoe from Downieville. The trails are well maintained. It's a good idea to hire a full suspension rig from one of the town bike shops if you want something really fun, but a regular mountain bike is fine when you go on forest roads. The shuttle vans will take you up over 4,000 feet into the mountains for a long descent.
