About This Trail

Generated from trail data
Climbs from the floor of the Lēʻahi tuff crater to its 761-foot rim via switchbacks, two staircases, and a 225-foot lighted tunnel, ending at the 1911 Fire Control Station that once directed coastal artillery. Built in 1908 as part of Oʻahu's coastal defense system, the summit overlooks Waikīkī, the 1917 lighthouse below, and the Pacific shoreline. Mostly unshaded; the upper section is steep with stairs.
