About This Trail
You should avoid mountain bikers on odd days. They have the run of the place and it shows in the trail. You can see the views from the Wasatch Ridgeline until you get to Desolation Lake. It's a good idea to head out early and get some spray on the bugs. You can get back to the parking area by taking the trail from Dog Lake. You won't be able to take your dog through this loop because it cuts into Big Cottonwood. It's great for hiking and mountain biking. It fills up fast on weekends. If you want to get a spot, you need to be no later than 7am.
