Cold Boiling Lake Trail to Bumpass Hell Trail

Pets are not allowed on any hiking trail in the park, in any body of water, or inside the visitor centers. Lassen is a national park and has special protection for wildlife. Pets can disturb the protected resources. The route takes you to Bumpass Hell Basin from King's Creek picnic area and has a beautiful trail with lots of wildflowers. The basin is amazing. The trail is steep, rocky and rough, with one particularly tricky creek crossing on a steep, rocky hillside. It is highly recommended to hike poles.
