About This Trail
This hike traverses one of the most fascinating areas in the Wine Country, exploring Pope Creek before climbing through remote country to an awesome overlook high above rustic Pope Valley. It is better to turn back if Pope Creek is high. When water levels are appropriate, cross the narrow channel to the grassy island and follow the path through vegetation.
