About This Trail

The nice hike to the summit of Calabasas Peak is a good aerobic workout with a moderate but steady uphill trek for a little less than 2 miles. The views are wonderful along the way. A good aerobic workout can be had by hiking for less than two miles to the summit of Calabasas Peak. There are wonderful views along the way. The view of the Santa Monica mountains can be seen from the left as the hike starts. Red Rock Canyon can be seen on the right over the crest. There are sandstone formations against the green mountains along the right as you ascend to the peak. There are some great rock formations along the way that you can scramble out on. The hike was enjoyable.
