About This Trail

The new section of the Grist Mill Trail is open and all the rest are closed. The trees in the new section are babies and you are in total darkness. It's a good idea to carry plenty of water to drink during the summer. The trail is blacktop. If you are hiking between the two roads. It is important to cross the section where the bridge is washing out. The spot can flood during a storm because of the piled up rocks. There are flood signs. There is a trail loop in the area that features cascading water falls and boulder hopping. The trail is moderate because of the rocky terrain. The loop has big ups and downs. The section of the loop that is flat is called the Grist Mill section. There is a parking area at the Swinging Bridge.
