About This Trail

Imported description

A number of forest service roads divert off to other explorable areas in the Walker River canyon. The southern portion is a dirt surface with rolling hills that make it more rocking as you go north. If the road that goes toward the cliff is not enhanced by snow, you will enjoy the descent into the canyon. The ascent up the north side of the canyon is quite rocky and would work well in a 2wd vehicle. The only clearance issues on this route are the basketball size rocks that fall from the top of the hill. The northern portion of the country has a high perch above the river and a view of the 395 highway below. It is a good idea to take the route east from this road.
