About This Trail
The first few miles of this hike are on steep hillsides that were scoured by the 600mph blast. It is not until you reach the St. Helens Lake area that you will find more than splintered tree bases. The area between St. Helens Lake and Coldwater Peak is usually covered in snow in the winter.
