About This Trail
The hike starts at the parking lot and the trail head is clearly marked in a couple hundred yards. There have been reports of bear spottings on the trail, but it's not very often. It's a good hike in the heat of summer because most of it is under the shade of the trees. The Haystack is a rocky area that can be very slippery when wet. If you want to get to the top of the haystack, you'll need some climbing experience. Pass is required to discover.
