About This Trail
During the winter season, The Worm Flows Climbing Route from Marble Mountain is the most direct route to the summit. There is an ice axe, a crampons, and an awareness of the snow on this route. Skis with climbing skins and snow shoes are recommended. To reach timberline, you have to use the Swift Ski Trail. Cross the west side of Swift Creek to reach Chocolate Falls. It was 3,700'. The rim crater has ridges and open slopes. Climbers can find wooden route marking posts on the timberline. The round trip is around 12 miles and takes about 7 to 10 hours. Stay away from the snow-laden slopes and gullies. It is possible that the campsite will be temporarily closed.
