About This Trail

Imported description

There is a new park just a mile from the previous one. The map shows the change. It is a great hike for all the family to go up to Big Cottonwood Canyon. The base of the trail can be found below Guardsman Pass on Old State Route 122. There are amazing views from the parking area. It's an easy hike if you're short on time but the last part is a steep and rocky trail. The lake is not big or polluted. On a hot day, this rope swing is great for a dip in the cool water. If you want to experience fall colors and see the display of wildflowers then this hike is for you. The Guardsman Pass is closed in the winter and so it is not accessible from November to April.
