Bird Mountain Trail

The preferred route will start from the Lookout Tower Trail. You will follow this trail for about 4 miles before you get to the Bird Mountain Trail. The Cumberland Trail will run from Signal Mtn. when it's completed. Cumberland State Park is more than 300 miles. You can enjoy many different species of violets and Blood root on a spring day. There is a great lunch or campsite on top of Bird Mountain. You will descend back to the trail over 15 switchbacks. The Castle Rock is located just off the trail. This is a great trail to enjoy all year long, but especially in the spring when there are more than a dozen varieties of wild flowers.
