About This Trail
It's a great backpacking alternative when the high country is covered in snow. The trail is best traveled in the spring. The progression from the foothills to a sequoia grove makes it different. It is possible to hook up a more extensive trail system which will lead you north to Giant Forest or south to Mineral King. There is a campground about 5 miles away. The Great Western Divide and Eagle Scout Peak can be seen from the start.
