About This Trail

Imported description
The west edge of Fremont, California is home to the Coyote Hills Regional Park which is a great place to introduce a friend to hiking. If the hills overlooking San Francisco Bay make you sweat on the way up the Red Hill Trail, you can walk the wide gravel Bayview Trail. The Visitors Center is near the site of the Tuibun Village. The shellmound was built by the Ohlone Indians 2,000 years ago. If you're feeling ambitious, you can take the trail over Highway 84 and check out the birds and other animals at the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife refuge.
