About This Trail

Aldous Lake is a great family hike because of the heavily wooded trail. It's an excellent overnight hike for the younger hikers, although most use it as a day hike. It's a trip the kids will never forget because of the forests, wildlife and great fishing. Boy scouts have made improvements around Aldous lake. The young men installed excellent camp tables and metal fire rings in discreet locations for the enjoyment of all. The trail from Aldous to Hancock becomes more difficult, and the lake is different from Aldous. The basin is located near the continental divide. There are limited spots for camping around the area.
