About this unit
Central Rio Grande County wrapping the west side of the San Luis Valley floor and the lower Rio Grande. Sage flats and irrigated agricultural ground on the valley floor at 7,500 feet step up to pinyon-juniper on the lower benches. Heavy private agricultural ground with BLM and Rio Grande National Forest on the higher edges.
