Unit 70 · Uncompahgre Plateau North
About this unit
North Montrose and east Mesa counties wrapping the northern Uncompahgre Plateau. Pinyon-juniper and oakbrush on the lower benches grade up through aspen to ponderosa and Douglas-fir on the plateau top. Predominantly GMUG National Forest and BLM with private ranch ground at the lower elevations.
