North Saguache County wrapping the Carnero Creek drainage on the east flank of the La Garita Mountains. Pinyon-juniper and oakbrush benches step up through aspen to spruce-fir on the high ridges. Mix of Rio Grande National Forest and BLM with private ranch ground in the river bottoms.
