**DESCRIPTION:** Located in the Gore Pass area on the **** Routt National Forest. Lynx Pass campground is small, hosting 11 sites and can be found on Forest Service Road 270 between the towns of Kremmling, CO, Toponas and Yampa, CO (off of HWY134) The Lynx Pass Campground and surrounding area offers outdoor enthusiasts an opportunity to enjoy the simple pleasure of being outside.Campground is surrounded in lodgepole pine offering mostly shade, with a secluded, natural and primitive feel and is good for both tent camping as well as campers and trailers. Popular among ATV/UTV/E-bikers as well as big game hunting during the fall. **Max Length for campers and trailers:** 18 feet **Amenities:** * Picnic Table * Fire Grate * Potable Water * Trash Services * 1 Vault Toilet * 1 Trailhead (Morrison Divide Muddy Pass Trail 1174 **Elevation & Weather: **With an elevation of 8,989 ft, campers can expect it to get cold at night, even during the warm summer months. Remember to pack accordingly. **Recreation Opportunities** **:** * Mountain biking * E-Biking * ATV/UTV access directly from the trailhead within the campground (Morrison Divide Muddy Slide Trail 1174) _This campground is one of the few in the area that has direct access to an ATV/UTV and E-Bike trail where enthusiasts can ride out from their campsite directly to the Morrison Divide Muddy Slide Trail 1174 located within the campground. (For trail details, please see description under the ATV/UTV tab from the recreation tab on the homepage_.) * Hiking trails a short drive away in the Sarvis Creek Wilderness (near Stagecoach Reservoir) * Lagunta Lake is a small lake, just a short drive from the campground. **Closest Towns:** * Toponas, CO * Yampa, CO * Kremmling, CO **Directions:** Lynx Pass Campground can be accessed on its northern end via County Road 16 from Stagecoach State Park/Oak Creek, and from the southern end via State Highway 134. State Highway 134 can be accessed from either Interstate 40 (Kremmling, CO) or from Steamboat Springs or Yampa, CO via HWY 131. **Other Nearby Areas for recreation:** * 30 minute drive (dirt road) will take you to the Sarvis Creek Wilderness area Hiking trail and to Stagecoach Reservoir. * 3.5 miles Rock Creek Recreation Area * 6 miles Blacktail Creek Campground * 8 miles Red Dirt Reservoir and dispersed camping recreation area
