Woodpecker Loop Trail

The Woodpecker loop trail has been recognized as a National Recreation Trail. The parking lot is where the loop trail begins and ends. A trail that starts in an oak woodland habitat leads to an overlook that allows a wonderful view of the valley and the the mountain range. There is a view of Bald Top, a native oak savannah habitat. The trail heads towards a forest filled with Douglas fir. You will see evidence of logging practices when the trail drops. The trail has a lot of information about birds and wildlife on it.
