About This Trail
This is one of two ways to get to the summit. This is a strenuous paddle/hike combo that includes a 4.3 mile paddle across Raquette Lake and a hike up West mountain. You can access Raquette Lake from a canoe/kayak launch. The port is close to the waters edge. You can find a beach with a trail head for West mountain from this point. The trail to West mountain is moderate and rising 1100 feet. The summit of West has a great view of Raquette Lake.
