About This Trail
The trail is closed to the public because of a threat to the condor. One of the better destinations in the Los Padres. The hike takes you deep into the Las Padres National Forest. The mountain vistas are quite spectacular even though the trail is mostly scrub brush. It is a good idea for those who want a shorter hike to stop and look at Tar Creek. Continue on to Sespe Creek for those with more energy. The setting is wonderful, with sandy beaches, house size boulders, cascades, jumping fish, and everything else you could want in a stream side setting.
